James Marcantel was severely burned in a gas pipeline explosion in May of 1994. Over the years the scar tissue has tightened the skin on his face. James desperately needs dental work and surgery to allow him to open his mouth a little wider for dentures.
BPM is devoted to help James accomplish this much needed assistance. Proceeds of Krazy Larry’s Auto Show and Swap Meet will be donated to help James with the expenses.
If you are not able to attend the Auto Show/Swap Meet and would like to contribute to this cause, it will be greatly appreciated.
When we first began helping Bonnie with dental needs she could only open her mouth approximately 1/3″ wide; as you can see in the picture now she is able to open her mouth almost 2″ wide. The surgery also improved a portion of Bonnie’s airway that was obstructed from the distortion. These are Bonnie’s words to us after the surgeries: “Before I had my surgery it was very difficult for me to eat. Not only was it difficult but it was very embarrassing to eat in public. Since I have had the surgeries, I can open my mouth wider to eat food. I am so grateful to BPM for helping me. I never liked to take pictures before but now I don’t mind having photos taken of me. I am smiling more, too!”
Krazy Larry’s Hot Rod Haven donated all the proceeds from this fundraiser to Boundless Pennies Ministry. BPM used the donated to help with the finances needed for Bonnie Clements dental repairs. Featured at the event was the Space Mobile and Rocket Mobile. Elvis (Dennis Soileau) was in the house Friday night performing while on Saturday, Chuck Welch and the Backyard Boys band played from 10 am – 2-pm. There were craft booths, a silent auction, live auction, children’s games and over 100 cars registered for this event! It was a family-fun packed weekend! The success of this event was due to the overwhelming volunteer support. To God be the glory for His hand upon our efforts.
So many volunteers working in all types of situations. Caring people rising to the occasion. Boundless Pennies Ministry volunteers helped meet the needs of those in the crisis by performing jobs such as sorting out clothes, purchasing toiletries, cooking food, & delivering water and supplies over into Texas, Now that Hurricane Harvey has passed and people are desperately trying to return to normalcy, let us not forget those whose lives were changed forever by this tragedy. During the “rescue stage”of the storm many churches and non-profit organizations are receiving and distributing much needed food, water, clothing, toiletries etc. Once the rescue stage is over the recovery stage will begin. During the “recovery stage” we realize there will be other needs too, such as finances for utilities, housing, vehicle repairs and numerous other unforeseen expenses from the devastation.
Think about the widows mite story in the Bible; she gave a little but it was all she had and it came from her heart. If everyone gives just a little we can make a BIG change in the lives of others. Will you be the first drop in this ocean to create the ripple affect for a tidal wave of support during the recovery stages for those affected by the damages created by Hurricane Harvey?
P.S. Our ministry does not have anyone on payroll; we dedicate every penny donated to Harvey Relief to be used for Harvey Relief!
Oh what fun we are having flocking the town!! This is, by far, the most exciting “Fun-Raiser” we have ever hosted. God’s people are rising to the occasion and He is helping us to meet the needs of a young family with four children and a young adult male who is need of medical attention. Meeting the physical needs of others is one of the marks of God’s children.
1 John 3:16-18 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Thanks to all who are participating!
Everything we have and everything we are is a gift from the Creator of our souls. (Psalms24:1) “The earth is is the Lord’s and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” (Job 41;11) “Everything under heaven is mine.” (Haggai 2:8) The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine’, says the Lord of hosts.”
Opening your hearts to the Lord, and sharing your money with BPM, allowed us to accomplish the goal of purchasing a used vehicle for Martha. On January 27, 2016 Martha was handed the keys to her vehicle. Our time, talents, relationships, physical health, and intellectual abilities are gifts that can be used for His purposes, too. Martha is a faithful servant of the Lord and shares her abilities by developing relationships with her neighbors and serves as a taxi for her neighbors who have no transportation. The gift of this vehicle to Martha not only blessed Martha but many others too. Your gift increased the lives of many other people besides Martha. Thanks to all who gave monetarily and through your prayers for us.
A special thank you to WC Autos located at 2739 Hwy 3059, Lake Charles, LA. for working with us to bless Martha with a vehicle.
We are entering into Phase 3 of our Jaws for Life Project. When we first met Bonnie she was only able to open her mouth a little over 1/3 ” wide. Often Bonnie had to use her hands to push the food off the utensil, in between her teeth, in order to eat solid foods. The dentist was not able to open her mouth wide enough to perform the necessary dental work.
Phases 1 & 2 of our Jaws for Life Project, which consisted of a major surgery and dental work, has enabled Bonnie to open her mouth 15/16 of an inch wide. This now allows her to open her mouth wide enough to use an eating utensil like most normal people; she does not have to shove the food in between her teeth any longer. She is actually now able to take a bite of a hamburger; something she had desired to do for a long time. This surgery also allowed Bonnie’s dentist to put fillings in 10 of her teeth. In January of 2017 Bonnie had all four wisdom teeth pulled then the following month she had braces put on her teeth. The braces will more than likely have to stay on for approximately 2 years.
Phase 3 will consist of correcting her bite and fixing the distortion in her jaws. Bonnie needs a total joint replacement for both of her jaws. The estimated cost is over $80,000. BPM is bombarding heaven for God to open the windows and pour down blessings more than we can contain for this project.
The Bible tells us that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. (I Timothy 6:10) However, money is the most powerful tool we have, at our disposal, when it comes to providing for basic material necessities. “If a brother is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,’ but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?” James 2:16
BPM is asking you to help us give to Bonnie the things which are needed for her body. Your prayers and participation in this project are greatly appreciated.
After surgery and now with braces!!!
BPM is working toward raising money for a 75 year old women who lost her only means of transportation in a flood this past summer in the Youngsville/Baton Rouge area. She is on a very limited fixed income. Martha leads a very busy life providing aid to neighbors in her subsidized apartment complex. She assists with errands, grocery shopping and doctor appointments. Martha is like a quarterback for the team of people in her life.
The misfortune of her flooded vehicle not only affects her but the team of people in her life as well. Martha’s SS check is so small she is unable to save for another car. BPM is on a mission to help her regain transportation. Your participation with us by donating any amount will be greatly appreciated.
Bonnie recently had one of several surgeries that are needed to correct the problem with her jaw. She is experiencing a few difficulties since the surgery so we are asking for you to keep praying for her healing. God intervened financially for her and we are so grateful for His provisions. Bonnie’s friends and family are hosting a Poker Run fundraiser on Saturday, August 13, 2016 in New Iberia, Louisiana to help with expenses. We are so thankful for all who have given & are continually giving financially towards this cause.
